What this is
A 4-week online study-group–style exploration of the nervous system, for those wanting to build supportive daily rhythms and reliable habits that help the body feel safe, steady, and nourished.
❋ A Relational Alternative to Information Overload
Rather than more tips or protocols, this group offers a slow, structured space to explore nervous system, hormone, and digestive health as a group, so what you learn can actually integrate into daily life.
❋ Support for Bodies Living in Chronic “On” Mode
This container is for those whose systems feel vigilant, sensitive, or overworked. We explore how chronic stress shapes hormones, digestion, energy, and mood - and what helps your unique body move toward safety and connection.
❋ Nervous System Health as Personal, Contextual, and Whole-Body
Rather than applying a single model of “regulation,” we’ll stay curious about what supports your body in each moment, including how nervous system health is shaped by physiology and nourishment, lived experience and emotional patterns, and the environments and rhythms you move through.
❋ What to Expect in Each Session
Each session follows a consistent rhythm: orienting teaching, simple inquiry practices, a guided yin or restorative yoga practice, and time for reflection and integration. The repetition itself is part of the support, helping the body learn that it can settle, receive, and integrate without having to stay alert or perform.
Why This Group Exists
The nervous system, hormone health, and nutrition worlds can be complex and overwhelming to navigate alone. There’s no shortage of information; what’s often missing is a grounded, relational space to explore it slowly, notice what applies to your body, and integrate it into daily life at your own pace.
I’m creating this exploration in response to my own current questions and needs - especially around what kind of support and structure actually helps the body feel safe and stable day to day. I’ll be holding the structure, pacing, and container, offering prompts and leading our yin yoga practice. It’s a space for co-learning, experimentation, and shared grounding, where we build a gentle, workable cadence together so it’s easier to stick with what supports you.
As a group, we’ll explore stress in its many forms including physical, environmental, and psycho-emotional.
You Might Feel At Home Here If You…
This group is for people who want to explore and support their bodies in a practical, grounded, and relational way - especially those navigating the subtle, often invisible challenges of hormonal imbalance, nervous system stress, digestion, and energy.
You might relate if you:
Notice fluctuations or challenges with mood, energy, or sleep
Feel physically or emotionally sensitive, easily overstimulated, or chronically “on edge”
Have digestive changes, blood sugar challenges, or lab results that are mostly normal but leave you feeling unsettled
Want to create nourishing daily habits that support your nervous system, immunity, hormones, and overall resilience
Are curious about women’s health, menstrual cycles, and embodied approaches to hormone balance
This is a space for women or anyone who identifies with women’s health experiences or wants to explore hormones and related wellness in a supportive, inclusive environment. People of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences are welcome, as long as there is a shared interest in learning about these topics together and holding space for one another.
When the Body Is Always “On”
Many of us may feel that our systems are oriented more toward conservation, vigilance, or staying “on” rather than toward ease, repair, and restoration. This can show up as subtle stress, tension, sensitivity, hormonal or digestive changes, or simply a feeling that the body is working hard even when life looks “fine” on the outside. Often, this pattern has its roots in nervous system health: when the nervous system is under-resourced or chronically alert, other systems can be affected downstream. This group is for those who want to explore what helps the body move out of chronic alertness and into more reliable states of support, safety, and repair.
My intention is to create an unshaming, non-pathologizing space. We’ll approach the body not as a problem to fix, but as part of a larger system shaped by relationships, environments, histories, and circumstances. The intention is not blame or self-optimization, but understanding, deep nourishment, and care. Through consistency, shared reflection, and simple practices, this group offers a steady container for supporting long-term nervous system health through practice, repetition, and companionship.
What Each Weekly Session Includes
Clear, accessible teaching to orient our understanding
Gentle yet effective nervous system and movement practices
Small-group and whole-group conversation and sharing (not required!)
A 30-40 minute yin or restorative yoga practice led by me
Quiet time for journaling or art-making on the call
Consistent structure that supports safety and integration
The format itself is part of the medicine: regular meeting times, gentle accountability, and a dedicated space to practice making nervous system nourishment part of daily life. Offering a consistent support space to help the body find rhythm and ease.
What This Group Is Not:
A set of quick nervous system “regulation” tips meant to bypass or override lived experience
A technique-only or breathwork-focused program aimed at symptom calming without context
A productivity, performance, or self-optimization container
Forcing the body into regulation while underlying stressors remain unexamined
Advocating a one-size-fits-all model of healing
About the facilitator
I (Althea) am an integrative wellness practitioner trained in holistic nutrition and gut health, yin yoga, and Unshaming (a somatic type of process work therapy descending from Jungian depth psychology and dreamwork). I have also trained with Arielle Schwartz, Gil Hedley, Peter Levine, Deb Dana, Kimberly Ann Johnson, and Stephen Porges in various applications of nervous system health and polyvagal theory. I am someone who enjoys learning through practice, allowing information to settle in my body and be brought to life through my lived experience. Thus, this offering is born! I am currently very curious to dive deeper into the world of the nervous system to enhance my own health and well-being.
FAQ
-
All sessions will be recorded, and recordings will be sent out soon after.
-
Not at all! We’ll talk through the basics to establish a shared understanding and vocabulary from the start.
-
It is not. While there will be space for sharing and all experiences and personal shares are welcome, this space is designed primarily for shared learning, not processing. I would recommend that you have other mental health support as needed.
-
This space is designed for all levels of engagement. If you would rather not share your face or voice, you’re more than welcome to just tune in, listen, and follow along with the practices as feels good. That said, I would LOVE to hear from and learn from everyone, and I think getting everyone’s voice in the room contributes to a richer, more human experience.
-
As this is a group space, I’m trusting that we all are able to tune into our bodies and take things at a pace that feels within our capacity. If you feel like you could benefit from additional support, I am available to book 1:1 sessions for more focused, individual holding.

I will send out reminder emails prior to each session with specific props that will be helpful. These may include a yoga bolster, block, blanket, or other props to support the body during any yin yoga or restorative practices. You also may wish to bring a journal, pen, or drawing supplies. Beyond that, I would recommend making sure your space feels cozy and comfortable to you, and that you have made arrangements so that there will be limited disturbances during sessions.
Have questions? Send me an email and I’ll get back to you personally.
